Veterans Memorial Rose Garden

Like a rose, there is a day in June made entirely for you. The day you bloom will be a very special day. It may start out in a misty glow of darting rays of sun, with morning dew forming droplets on your destiny. Thorns you wield to protect you, while bees and pollinating insects help you transition from beauty to multiplying seed. It is no accident for you to beautify this place, even if just for a fleeting passage of time.

Red Rose Bush

This year the Veterans Memorial Rose Garden in Mohegan Park was fantastic. In years past, I have missed the peak season for Roses at this Norwich, CT park. Determined not to miss this year’s bloom, I visited the park at the beginning of May to check in on how the garden was progressing. Upon returning to the garden in June, it was in full bloom; with most flowers were in nearly perfect photo-op condition.

The park is perfect for a wedding or romantic photo-op. It is also nice to visit when the flowers are not in bloom. You can learn more about the Mohegan Park & Memorial Garden at ctvisit.com.
